The Rev. Daniel S. Meck became the new Rector of St. Paul’s Parish starting in July 2026
Announcement April 12, 2026.
All are welcome to come meet Fr. Dan
The Vestry is pleased to announce that we have called the Reverend Daniel S. Meck to be the next Rector of St. Paul’s Parish. Following a unanimous recommendation from the Search Team of the Transition and Search Committee, the Vestry voted to call Father Dan who has accepted the call. This call has been approved by the Standing Committee of the Diocese of Easton.
Father Dan has been an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church for more than 25 years. He currently serves as the Head Chaplain and Director of Spiritual Life at The St. Paul’s Schools in Brooklandville, MD. Previously, he served as the Associate Rector at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Baltimore. Prior to his ordination, Father Dan graduated from the University of Maryland College Park and worked as a Marketing Research Analyst.
Father Dan is a graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary where he served as the Senior Class President. During his years in seminary, he spent time studying “The Bible and The Holy Land” at St. George’s College in Jerusalem.
He is married to Kelly Jordan Meck who currently serves as the Registrar for St. Paul’s School for Boys. They have three adult children. Father Dan will be joining us this summer following the fulfilment of his obligation to St. Paul’s schools.
It is the hope of the Vestry that, together, the congregation and new Rector can attract more families with children, reach new people and incorporate them into the life of St. Paul’s Parish, as well as build on our past achievements to serve God in Centreville. One of the top goals identified in our recent Parish Survey is the development of education programs and spiritual formation for young people and adults. We also look forward to strengthening our work to provide a warm and compassionate pastoral faith community at St. Paul’s.
The Vestry is grateful for the tremendous work the Congregation provided during our transition, especially members of the Transition and Search Committee. We also remind the Congregation that some work to complete this transition remains. Finally, we note that our ministry to serve God’s people in our community relies primarily on the continued good works of the laity at St. Paul’s, together with the support of our Rector.
